Python Job: Software Developer

Geoscience Australia's Informatics team implements data pipelines which make data more FAIR and facilitates machine to machine interactions with data. We are seeking a python developer to enhance our data transformation software. A suitable candidate will work as part of the team and deliver work in a self-managing environment. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate experience in data transformations using python. They will also require experience working with a multi-disciplinary team on an Agile development project. Experience in cloud deployment and good communication skills are desirable.

Essential Criteria

• Experience in data transformations using python
• Strong software development skills in python
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders
• Experience working in an Agile multi-disciplinary team

Desirable Criteria

• Experience with cloud deployment in AWS
• Exposure to geophysical data formats like netCDF and ASEG-GDF2 is highly desirable
